Easy to fit in a trailer I only wish it had a wing nut instead of a nylon lock nut to hold the tire in place so I didn't need a tool to remove the tire

Installed on a boat trailer. Fairly easy to install considering it requires drilling holes in the trailer's steel beam. This kit requires hardware, not just spare wheel bolts. I had to buy accessories to attach it to the trailer.

It will not support the weight of the wheel unless the wheel is supported by a trailer platform or other supported application. The short screw is too short and the long screw is not screwed in deep enough. I had to use an old Allen head as a spacer. I wanted to install it with a valve stem so I could check the pressure. Maybe the valve stem worked with a short screw, but not what I wanted to do.

The mount was smaller than expected. Very easy. Suitable for trailer tires. Some installation difficulties as the latch moves very slightly from its locked position but this is typical of bottom end brackets. When tightening, the screw rests a little on the rim because it is smaller than the nut. It would be much nicer if the bolt snapped in and was the same size as the eyebolt, but then it would be $40 instead of $12. Need another RV tire much heavier so you have to pay for heavy duty mount…

I used this to fit a truck trailer spare tire and tire into a 6x12 truck trailer. The included bracket did the trick and after the first 5 hours of driving over varied terrain, nothing broke. As for the little features/things to note, it's lightweight, not steel so it won't rust. At first I thought it was cast zinc until I reread the listing and saw it said "aluminum"; It has a brushed finish that doesn't look like extruded/cut aluminum.
