This filter is sized 17"x24" as indicated in the "Nominal Dimensions" in the fine print. This is not the standard 16" x 25" size. This filter did not fit our Carrier oven. (By the way, Carrier doesn't make filters, although this filter bears their logo. It doesn't help to call Carrier for a filter number or a replacement.) Works as advertised. It's a filter and it does the job. My problem is that in strong dusty winds and dusty winds (Santa Ana winds in California) the life of the filter is about 6 months and it is expensive to buy. I run my system (fan) on low for about 12 hours a day, which pulls fine dust in the house into the filter, which of course causes the filter to fill up. I plan to change the filters at least every 6 months as the air in the house is much cleaner which reduces particle allergies.

In February 2020 I bought 2 Carrier Infinity air purification cartridges. I made the mistake of not opening the content and checking it out. I have previously ordered these items from other sellers on Revain and have had no problems. I opened 2 boxes today because the cartridges I used to buy from Revain have run out. The cartridges I ordered from this seller were bad with small dents on the outside. I am afraid that the poor quality of appearance will not stand up to use in my oven.

I bought these Bc they were cheaper than I pay for them from carrier myself. I own an air conditioning company and have never sold or installed anything except Carrier. They got overpriced last year and now I'm here at Revain buying a product that I should be getting straight from the source. This product is a genuine OEM filter replacement. We have 2 cats and are allergic. We know it's time to replace that filter when we're walking around coughing and unhappy, usually because the seasonal culprits imposed on our pets have pushed our allergies and immune responses to the brink. It's hard to give the furnace filter 5 stars. I have no idea if it really works the way the manufacturer claims it does. My house is getting as dusty as it was before installing the Carrier Infinity air filtration system. Before I got it, however, I changed the oven filter every 3 months, each costing about $15.
