Description of Carter M3643 Mechanical Fuel Pump

Built to meet or exceed OEM fit and reliability and 100% factory tested and approved. Ideal for vehicles with low pump pressure between 4 to 6 PSI. Less susceptible to contaminates because its located outside the fuel tank. In-Line pumps are driven by the camshaft, which effectively transfers fuel from the tank to the carburetor.

Major Disappointment

This fuel pump was a complete waste of money. My analysis of this product showed THAT it was not worth the price .I was extremely disappointed with its performance and had to replace it right away. The pump failed to deliver the required amount of fuel to the engine and caused some serious damage. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for automotive fuel system parts..

Ideal for fuel system

Item received and fits perfectly. I visited three auto parts stores before ordering online from Amazon (Auto Zone, O'Reily, Advanced Auto) and all three couldn't find the right fuel pump.
