Description of Carter M6628 Precision Mechanical Fuel Pump

Built to meet or exceed OEM fit and reliability and 100% factory tested and approved. Ideal for vehicles with low pump pressure between 4 to 6 PSI. Less susceptible to contaminates because its located outside the fuel tank. In-Line pumps are driven by the camshaft, which effectively transfers fuel from the tank to the carburetor.

Impressive Fuel Pump for High-Performance Engines

The Carter M6628 Mechanical Fuel Pump is a great addition to any high-performance engine. According to my experience, it provides consistent fuel flow and pressure, resulting in improved acceleration and overall performance. The pump is easy to install and fits perfectly into most applications. However, it does produce a noticeable whine when in operation, which might not be suitable for some drivers who prefer a quieter ride.

NOT for 1986 K3500 - too high

Cannot rate this particular pump as it gets in the way of the frame cross member and cannot be screwed in. I'm sure it will fit some BBCs but be careful if you have a 4WD square body.
