CSR Max Longboard Surf Rack by Carver Review

I have purchased this shelf several times over the years. It's not as strong as I'd like it to be when riding the board. I'm sure it gets worse with a heavier longboard. Keylocks are a little sticky (get stuck inside). Everything else is fine

This is a good product for short boards but I would like to spend the extra money and buy a rack that connects to the front (handlebar) and rear (seat) bike racks my old These guys are much more stable, especially with a 9-10 foot longboard.

This makes it easy for my son to carry his surfboard to the beach. I like that the hooks holding the surfboard can be removed if you just surf. It was easy to install on my youngest son's bike but a little more difficult on my older sons so I guess the ease depends on what model of bike you have.

My wife ordered these for me for our anniversary and they work great. I just strap on my board and go. Assembly was fairly easy and went well with my beach cruiser. She looked at local surf shops and Amazon had the best deal including shipping. Everyone who surfs should love this product! We will definitely buy these again for those who want to cruise to the beach on their bike and not have to worry about parking their car, paying the beach fee etc. WORTH THE MONEY!

Pretty disappointed with this stand. It was great to start with, holds my 9 feet well. Within a year the parts were badly rusted and the bridge locks connecting the posts to the posts broke. I find it ok as they are quite small but there are no replacement parts. I had to do a temporary rack repair that cost over $100. Also, the company doesn't seem to be available. A royal hassle to install as the instructions provided are absolute bullshit. However, there are some helpful videos on YouTube. This works if you drive very slowly and avoid bumps. (Not quite what I expect from my teenage son.) My son said he felt his board wasn't safe as it didn't feel very safe. I've been using CSR-Max several times a week for the past 6 months. I've used it with boards 7 to 10 feet in length with no problems. I have to say this is one of the best products I have ever bought. It is very easy to install and all fasteners are stainless steel. I installed the basket on the shelf of this product and I have everything I need for my bike ride. This has worked so far for my heavy 10'6" log for 1 trip but it has a few design changes I'd like to see. Unfortunately, my bike has no attachment points on the rear triangles. I had to use the 4 clamps that came with the mounting hardware and a lot of patience to attach the 4 mounting points to the rack. This probably isn't the best kit for you.
