Not worth the trouble!

My 1997 Johnson outboard would not start with these coils. Returns were not accepted. After installing the old coils, everything started immediately.

Excellent for the price. - Coils

Two of the four only lasted two seasons. The other two were good but for the price I swapped them out anyway. They were good, but they were still bad. I replaced the timer base, stator and new power supply before realizing the two year old coils were bad. My mistake is that I assumed the new coils would be bad.

Pros
  • Ignition parts
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
