I bought these for my friend's closet because he works in construction and his closet used to stink! When I found these and read the customer reviews, I also found that they also work well as a moth repellent, which was very helpful to know. You can also put some rings or balls in your boots. So now we have a moth free closet and it smells great :) I highly recommend it and it's very cheap.

I love the smell of cedar and needed to get rid of some moths. I have quite a lot of wool suits and kilts. I recently noticed tiny moths flying around. I go the route of cleaning any areas that might be problematic by putting moth traps (pheromones) in each closet AND putting cedar rings on all thdd ed hangers, throwing a few balls in some random pockets. So far, so good. There are not as many of them as I had imagined when ordering 4 boxes. That said, they go fast if you spread them liberally…

I tried to pull the dimensions from the description and expected the balls to be the size of a golf ball. They are smaller than this. The rings in particular are less thick and smaller in diameter than what I have in the picture. But adding a handful of these to my wool-filled storage container instead of one or two at each end seems like more than enough cedarwood flavor to make a difference.
