Works great: Equestrian

They work much better than the Daisy and are perfect for my 14.2 QH. I no longer have to snap my 8 year old out of the saddle when he approaches the grass!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Rumpled

Really short good for halters and lines

They work great. The only downside is that they are short. They barely match my halfling pony. I had to add a metal ring to the saddle to make it a little longer. The double bar also worked to add a little more length.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Safety

Does it work with halters and lines

Pony gives this product 0 out of 5 stars. He does his job very well. I was worried it wouldn't work because my daughter rides her pony in a hackamore and little did I know it would just snitch the hackamore in her nose. My daughter is quite small at 6, so if her pony puts her head down to graze, the pony wins. No longer! In fact, we like it so much that we were able to get it for my oldest daughter's pony (also on a horse) in the spring.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor repairability

A little small for 15:2 but works GREAT

Bought for a very pushy Quarter Horse. He's a big tank. I usually see these for ponies. I'm sick of being pulled in the spring when the trails are full of temptingly tall grass. I needed help to work on my education. He's much better now. Many people have given me advice. Usually "don't let him". To be honest I needed help to get over the bullying part. I can solve them while driving if everything is ok. Priceless. You don't have to use them for the entire ride. Easy to turn on and off during…

  • Not sure

He has a bad habit of tilting his head to draw.

Had to drill an extra hole for my 15hh short neck Arabian. He couldn't find a horse-sized butt anywhere, and anything horse-sized was always MUCH big to him; It works out. OK. He has a bad habit of jumping headfirst to snatch the reins out of a beginner's hands, and he doesn't try this one, so it's good, but it's still too short; I really wish the straps were a little longer for a more versatile fit, and not just the pony or cob sized version.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Frequency

Save My Shoulders

I am a senior rider with a single pony who has worked as a pony apprentice for many years. His subterfuge is to lower his head hard, hoping he can snatch the reins from the rider's hands and then walk away. Since I'm not a racing novice, he pulled my hands out of my joints! Now he's a reformed pony after two rides and my hands are healing. I am very happy. I'm sure they will also work very well to discourage the horse from stopping to graze. My bangs are 14.2 and they fit him very well. They…

Finally kick a bad habit!

Not very long. Suitable for my 15ft horse on the last hole. There are no instructions, but the photo is easy to understand. My horse, as others have said, picked up this bad habit from a previous owner. This ingrained vice can only break him. Tried everything in 2 years! I finally have a solution! he hates it He pouted, but that's his new normal now. I am 54 years old, have a strong horse that is otherwise doing well. But I don't let myself be pulled out of the saddle and constantly have to…

Great for rooting ponies

I run a large riding school and we use it for a lot of ponies. Little riders can easily get out of the saddle if one of our four-legged trainers decides they need more reins. When you're out, this also keeps the pony's head out of the grass. A little effective in keeping the pony from kicking if not too athletic. I also use it on some smaller horses. However, I hate the idea of any of them getting into the hands of a beginner. They are easy to pull. It's not a chambon, it's not a trainer. Be…
