Description of Centerforce DF188801 Friction Clutch Pressure

The Centerforce design applies proven principles of weight and centrifugal force to develop the increased clamping loads modern clutch facings require while maintaining easy pedal effort and eliminating old-style diaphragm “over-center” problems disastrous to high-performance engines. To ensure the highest level of quality, every clutch design that Centerforce offers is run through a gauntlet of testing procedures. We continually monitor and evaluate clutch-holding capacity by utilizing specific friction materials and accurate Pressure Plate clamp-load measurements. Centerforce uses the latest in CAD/CAM technology for all of our in/house product designs. This coupled with precise measurement and strict manufacturing control means you get parts right - the first time. Centerforce regularly test components and materials through independent test labs to further ensure we not only meet, but also exceed industry standards. Centerforce provides innovative leadership in clutch technology by creating patented processes like their DYAD mutli-disc coupling system.

Terrible grip, don't buy the ACT clutch

Terrible clutch, play, drives like I slip a lot clutch, in my Mitsubishi Evo 8 I would take the ACT clutch instead, it was similar to the power clutch in my same Evo 8, I'll never use it buy again!

Pros
  • The Centerforce design uses proven weight and centrifugal force principles to generate the increased downforce required by modern clutch facings, while maintaining light pedal effort and eliminating catastrophic old-style diaphragm problems. for high-performance engines.
Cons
  • Bad manual
