This is an update of a previous comment that said 'what a waste of money'. I'm updating this to three stars out of one as the main issue was user error. At the dial end of the flexible neck, the mount is also adjustable to accommodate sagging. Once I got the neck set up correctly, it became a useful piece of gear. Bought a few years ago but only used recently. I agree with several other reviewers. 1) You should get used to neck tension adjustment before locking. 2) The magnetic base (compared to the locking pliers) is not suitable for every application. The top of my table saw is aluminum so the magnet couldn't be used. I attached part of the watch face to something else and it worked great. This set of dial indicators works very well for setting up final drives on my lathe and most other applications I've used them for. Holds tight, magnetic base holds well. Now I only gave 4 stars because the result of the case is a piece of junk! I am not going to lock any of the latches, the hooks under the latches are fine but the hooks on the body are very soft so when you try to latch them just push in and won't hold the latches at all!
