Wonderful Co Emulsifier for Arts and Crafts

As a soap maker, I am always on the lookout for new and effective co emulsifiers. Based on my observations, this product has exceeded my expectations. It blends perfectly with my homemade lotions and makes them feel silky and smooth. The only downside is the price which is a bit higher than other alternatives on the market. However, in my opinion, it is worth the investment for the quality of the final product..

Pros
  • Effective emulsifier for homemade lotions
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation for some users

Cetearyl alcohol is a combination of stearyl and cetyl alcohols.

I bought this cetearyl alcohol to use as a thickening agent in my homemade lotions. I used coconut oil and shea butter in most of my recipes to thicken the lotion, but got bored quickly. I spent a few weeks reading about alcohols and more before finally settling on cetearyl alcohol. Cetearyl alcohol is a combination of stearyl and cetyl alcohols. All 3 alcohols are non-drying and add moisturizing properties to your lotion while thickening it. I chose Cetearil because I read that it was easier…

Pros
  • May boost the moisturizing properties of homemade body butter, lip balm, or other skin and hair care products.
Cons
  • I will write later
