Flat, hard, no arch support. Not comfortable.

This shoe is stiff and low profile with no arch support. The shoes run a bit big. I usually wear a size 7.5 but 7 fits better. I ended up buying Columbia Vent Fly water shoes. The Columbia sneakers fit like normal tennis shoes and have drainage holes. It is also more comfortable and ideal for hiking.

    Pros
    • Comfort: The Torrent PRO water shoes have a comfortable and supportive insole, making them ideal for extended wear.
    Cons
    • Lack of arch support. These shoes do not provide adequate arch support, which can lead to foot pain and discomfort.

Rubs my knuckles best in my rating

I bought them for a canyoning tour. They performed as intended, nice and grippy even when wet. I had a pair of neoprene socks which made this shoe very comfortable. Without socks, the back ankle was scraped, so I'm deducting a star. Otherwise, I recommend them as water shoes.

    Pros
    • Continuous
    Cons
    • Low wear resistance. Shoes can wear out sooner than expected and not withstand frequent use.

straight into the money - my new review

These shoes are made for long walks, they are very light comfy inflatable shoes I have taken several walks in (8 miles each time) and as I said they are worth every penny with good smart wool (merino) socks - it's a winner.

    Pros
    • STYLISH: The navy blue and gray colorway of this shoe is both trendy and timeless, making it a great option for everyday wear and outdoor activities.
    Cons
    • price category. The price of these water shoes may not suit all budgets, making them a less attractive purchase for certain buyers.

    Terribly uncomfortable shoes

The fit is odd compared to all other shoes. Arch support has been disabled and the fact that they have no base in the shoe makes them terribly uncomfortable. I tried them on and after a few minutes my legs hurt. I sent them back the same day I received them.

    Pros
    • Universal
    Cons
    • TOO NARROW - Men's Chaco Torrent Pro water shoes may not fit those with wider feet, causing discomfort and an uncomfortable fit.

Beware of bubbles best in my review

Despite decent arch support, these water shoes are unsuitable for me. I've used them a few times to walk the beach while surfing and my toes are covered in blisters that hurt. I had a pair of Chaco sandals which I love but these water shoes were a huge disappointment to me. I contacted Chaco and customer service thinks they might be too big, but they aren't. I'm looking for socks to wear with this and am open to other ideas but might bring these back.

    Pros
    • Chaco is committed to using sustainable materials and methods in the manufacture of its products so you can feel good about your purchase.
    Cons
    • Slow Drying - The material of this shoe may take longer to dry than other water shoes after immersion in water, causing discomfort to the wearer.

Well made shoes but time will tell if they hold up in the water

I bought these shoes specifically for water sports. Time will tell how long they last in the water. In terms of dry performance, it feels like a normal shoe - comfortable, good fit without socks, midsole is relatively firm (not like the Adidas Boost) for great grip. The heel counter is padded with non-slip gel dots, there's no insole, and the midsole is perforated to drain water and covered in mesh (which some find uncomfortable). The outsole has micro-cuts in the style of a Sperry boot. The…

Good comfortable shoes, good arch support, good drainage

Very impressed from the start Very comfortable arch support which was important I will be back in a month or two when I take them on a 4 day canoe trip. Unlike most water boots, this one actually has a soft sole so walking on rocks all day doesn't hurt. September 23rd. We have just returned from 5 days on the current river Mon. We rode them 5 hours round trip. I fished a lot and walked on the sand and big boulders. very happy they have been doing these trips for almost 30 years, by far the best
