Excellent sensor with maximum sensitivity of 6gr/yr, the Freon leak detector detects all kinds of halogen refrigerants including but not limited to CFCs e.g. R11, R12, R13, R113, R114, R500, R502, R503 etc. HCFCs e.g. R22, R123, R124, R401A, R401B, R402A, R403B, R408A, R409A, R414B, R416A etc. HFCs e.g. R23, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R417A, R422A, R422B, R422D, R507, R508B etc. Blends such as AZ-50. HP62. MP39 etc. 7 Adjustable Sensitivity; Maximum sensitivity is 0.21oz/yr. Real time sensitivity, refrigerant Freon leak detector can be automatically adjusted to the best optimum detecting state. Audible and visual gas leakage indicators and dual battery indicator. Tricolor display of battery voltage; Siren sound and flashing light for the leak alarm indicator. Make sure to put 4 x AAA alkaline batteries in it. Please pull out the battery holder and install all four batteries.

Leak found in no time

Our son's truck didn't produce cold air conditioning even after freon was added, so we knew there might be a leak somewhere. My husband went to work with this detector and found the leak very quickly. Thanks to this, the truck now has cold air conditioning. I would buy again.

Unreliable. fits tools and equipment

I got this for my husband to use with his leak detection project truck. It was extremely inaccurate and would sometimes indicate a problem and then return to the same spot and it wouldn't beep. Eventually, as we stood in the middle of the yard, there was nothing mechanical around, and it exploded. Unreliable

Works as advertised

Short and simple: Works as advertised. I didn't need a $300-400 car to find a simple auto freon leak. I don't make a living from it and may only use it a few times in the next ten years, so basic/cheap is fine. A leak was found where the heater hose rubbed against the air conditioning intake line. The truck was statically leaking about 4 ounces of freon per week. I tried the coloring route first but didn't see anything. The snooper found him in a minute of searching.
