Small and very light; almost tin. The price seemed a little high, even at $35, and the lid flexes when dropped and bumped, just like a kettle. The lid is also tight. I bought this model a few years ago (slightly different model, same brand/size). I liked it so much that when I saw one (this model in a different colour) for sale at a discount store I bought it as a replacement even though I don't need it yet. UPDATE: After 2 weeks of use, the first rust spots appeared in the lid. For reference, I noticed that condensation always remains on the inside of the lid unless removed to dry, even when there is no water left in the kettle. Removing the cover isn't particularly practical or convenient, so the rusting issue seems to be an issue for me. ORIGINAL: So far, so good. No visible plastic or silicon parts inside.
