Good cycling gloves for cold weather Gloves

I wanted something to wear on a cold Portland winter morning. These gloves are perfect for that. They probably won't do well in very cold weather, nor will they hold water. But they block the wind and keep my toes warm. Not thick or bulky, I can easily tuck them in my jacket pockets.

Great grip gloves but not warm enough

These gloves are the best grip gloves I have ever owned. When it's cold outside there are things we need or want to do that are almost impossible with regular gloves. I talk with my key, lighter, hold my phone, press a button, use a tissue, etc. I'm outdoors a lot and have the driest skin imaginable. Even with a great lotion, I just can't stand outside in the cold with my hands open for a few minutes or my hands will turn into a painful, bloody nightmare. These gloves are great for gripping…

Very effective against the wind but not that warm

They do what they say - amazing how they keep my hands warm in the wind (I use them for cycling). The product doesn't claim to be for warmth and they definitely aren't. In the fall they worked well, but for the winter they were completely unsuitable.

Excellent gloves for moderate cold

I bought these gloves because of the windproof properties. Unfortunately, the weather in Austin, Texas hardly calls for gloves. However, I have used them for gardening purposes and they have worked great. The size was perfect, the rubber stays in the hand well and they seem very durable (I've been cutting, grabbing and moving mesquite branches. A very thorny bush for those who don't know).

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Maybe try something else

These are gloves, they can block the wind. They're definitely small, and since they're already small, they seem more obvious and can hurt your hand in minutes. If the sizes were included in the description it might be easier to get the right size, but larger than you think, but maybe try something else as it seems to be a problem.

Bought for a harsh winter

Bought for my husband and we are living off ND oil slicks. As soon as the temperatures started to drop I started looking for winter gloves and settled on them as they claimed to be windproof and not too bulky. They were right about the not-too-bulky part, but they lied through their teeth about the windshield. How they came to the conclusion that they are windproof I don't understand, it's like wearing elegant women's gloves designed for a Sunday stroll. If you're looking for something valuable

CTR Howler Combo Gloves

Gloves are worthy. A big disadvantage is that the "windproof" material (woven fleece) only covers the upper arm when worn. The rest of the glove is made of a different material and is neither windproof nor waterproof. You get wet in the rain. On a cold bike the gloves would be perfect if there wasn't a lack of material as only the top of the gloves is windproof. Membrane fleece is ideal, but the entire glove must be made of it. I bought the CTR Howler Multitasker Pro before I bought the gloves…
