Beware of electrical problems

Well I've been using it every day for 5 weeks and today it shorted out and my laptop was smoking (literally like smoke because something was fried in it) I thought maybe , it is just something in the computer, not because of the charger. Well that was a mistake because I then plugged in my phone (which I've done countless times before) and it's not fried either. so 2 devices that now won't turn on at all because of this charger. Caution, when using this device, the USB connector to the cable…

Worked like clockwork for my HP Specter 360

When my original charger broke I was looking for a cheaper replacement that would still put out 65W, more than the more common 45W options ( which also worked, but I was looking for something closer to the original). The charger arrived quickly, fits perfectly (no problem with it being loose or needing to be in a certain position) and it charged my laptop straight away. An added bonus is the length of the cord and the price.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Only works sporadically after 4 months

Bought in mid-July. In August, he started making this high-pitched, annoying noise, which another family member noticed and complained about. Then in November it started to work intermittently. Sometimes it took 5 minutes to charge, and sometimes it didn't charge at all. Not happy because the return window was in August. I hope to get the year off the string. The OEM cable lasted 4 years. This lasted 4 months.

Pros
  • Large bandwidth
Cons
  • Largely ok, but...

Not enough power for Dell Latitude 5401

The quality of the block itself seems normal. The cables are good and long on both sides of the PSU. However, it doesn't seem to have enough power to actually charge my Dell Latitude 5401. I first connected through a powered USB-C hub and got a message saying it was plugged in but not charging. So I tried connecting directly to the USB-C port and got the same error. I think I'll bring it back and try a different route.

Pros
  • So far everything seems
Cons
  • Long wait

Works best in chargers and adapters

This is exactly what I need. I like to sit in different places with my laptop and when the battery dies I don't want to unplug the cable from my desk. It's kind of a pain with its placement. This cable works great and is exactly what I need, an extra cable to charge my laptop. That works great. No problem.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Unreliable

Stops working in chargers and adapters

This only works for a short time before it stops working. I bought one and it stopped working after about a month. Thinking it was a defective disposable product I returned it for a new one. A month has passed and I am again faced with a charger that no longer works. The chances of getting two random defective items in a row are very, very low, which tells me this is a common problem with them. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Doubtful

May cause static audio feedback

I use this charger with USB-C Universal Dock https://www.amazon.com/EUASOO-Docking-Station-Ethernet-Compatible/dp/B07VGVZ8NH and this does Noticeable static noise/feedback with inexpensive speakers connected to the dock via the 3.5mm audio jack. There is also static feedback when using my OEM Lenovo charger, but it's only noticeable when the speakers are fully on. Actually, I think it could be the value for money of a universal dock combined with cheap speakers and a cheap power supply…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Very expensive

I would avoid this adapter and look elsewhere. Read the ISSUE below.

90W/65W USB-C Charger Power Adapter for HP Specter x360. Got the charger and immediately tested the outputs with a USB-C riser and a Fluke DMM. 5VDC - OK. 20VDC - DEAD! All four VBUS points (20 VDC) tested. I read in other reviews that they received a bad charger. However, I took the risk. You will never know. But for less than $25, you get what you pay for. On the plus side, the adapter looked good on the outside. As a process engineer for electronics assembly, I was impressed. However, this…
