The rattling occurs when the mounting portion is pushed in to connect with the detector. The connection is not accurate and the detector rattles over bumps and road deviations. First of all, I don't think the perfect smartphone bike mount has been developed yet. I've tried several and none of them are perfect. This is the best of the 3 or 4 I've tried.
