This product has two disadvantages. When I cleaned my bike today, I took it off the tank. The first thing I noticed was a sheet metal screw attached to the bottom magnet. Bad, because I'm pretty sure I put the bag right next to the screw. I checked the tank for scratches (thankfully there weren't any from the screw) but noticed marks on both sides of the tank. Just the right bag for my '09 Kawasaki ZG1400. I have one of the Norton Commando's Chase Harper rear rail bags, which this bag was designed after, and it turned out to be well made and the right size for tools and binders.
