Make Your Own Tea/Coffee Filters WITHOUT CHEMICALS

I love this cheesecloth. Following recent reports of chemicals in coffee filters, I cut them out and use them in place of paper chemicals. I cut a few and just wash them. Better for me and the environment!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Just the thing for the cheese makers

Good quality organic gauze with a decent GOTS seal at a reasonable price. I will return when I need more. Tip: Do not buy any "organic" fabrics that do not have a GOTS seal with a certification body and certification number. Without this information it is probably not GOTS certified. This gauze is really GOTS certified.

Homemade elderberry syrup

Loved the fact that it's made in the USA and organic. The leaf was huge which made it a bit difficult to cut, so when I finished making my homemade elderberry syrup I put it in hot water and threw it in the washing machine. Washed well, just a little frayed. I dried it and will use it again. Overall this is a good product and I would recommend it.

Pros
  • that even old folks can understand
Cons
  • Something different

Very thick, excellent quality, needs a lot of washing the first time

In the end I'm glad I have this product and I'm glad this company is offering this product. Thickness and strength are good for most applications. It's easier to clean up after using it to store herbs and vegetable stock when making chicken soup than the double layer of regular (good quality) cheesecloth I've used before. There is only one layer to work on and it is so thick that it washes/wipes off easily. It also works well in a layer for "dripping" yogurt with a weight on it to make "Greek…

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Damaged
