Description of Chef knife Samura Shadow, blade 20.8 cm

The European Chef is the main tool of the professional chef and home cook. The versatility of this knife needs no advertising. The chef will help you chop, chop or chop almost any food - from vegetables and fruits to meat and gastronomy. A single-layer blade made of corrosion-resistant steel is coated with a special compound that prevents products from sticking to it during operation. A winning combination for Shadow is AUS-8 Steel (blade material) and Black anti-slip coating (silicone coating of the blade).

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

If the steel is as it is written on the box, then the knife is worth its money, AUS - 8 is very good, but I have not had time to check it for chem. analyzer steel grade. Well, the cutting edge can be corrected, this is not a significant drawback. Pros: Quite sharp, despite the sharpening not brought to polishing, good weight distribution. Some cons: Not the knife in the picture - there are no hieroglyphs. The packing box is not from Samura, not native, very cheap. There is no country of origin…

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

A knife after ordinary kitchen, expensive, cheap, German, Chinese, Soviet ones is just another category. Comfortable to hold, cuts like a razor. I'm trying to learn how to cut like a chef, with the spout resting on the board, - it turns out! The geometry of the blade is so calculated that the knife itself crawls along the board, making small pieces. In this way, you will never cut yourself and your hands will not get tired. I have had a samur electric sharpener for a long time, so I don’t worry

Pros
  • Just a monster
Cons
  • Everything sticks to the surface though. Even more than metal.
