Description of ☕ Chemex Natural Square Coffee Filters - Pack of 200 - 2 Pack

Step 1: Fold the CHEMEX filter in half. Then fold in half again, bringing the two corners together. Place your finger between the 3rd and 4th layer and open into a funnel. Step 2: Place the funnel in the top portion of the CHEMEX coffeemaker, with 3 layers on the groove side. The groove is an air vent (and also the pouring spout) and allows air to escape from the lower portion of the coffeemaker, letting the coffee filter. Step 3: Put coffee in the filter paper cone. Use one heaping tablespoon per cup of coffee (adjust to personal taste if needed after first brew). Refer to brewing instructions for remaining steps. THICKER: 20-30% thicker than the competition, specialty fiber filter design keep bitter elements, oils, and grounds in their place (and out of your cup). Fits all CHEMEX Coffeemakers except CM-1, CM-1C, CM-1GH.

Chemex Quality - Coffee & Espresso Maker Parts & Accessories

I have been using Chemex coffee makers and filters for many years. I like the Chemex website but shipping is expensive which Prime excludes. They are identical to those purchased directly from Chemex. And if it's available at Revain, I'll order it here.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Clarity

White (Bleached) Tastes Better

An unbleached filter has a taste that cannot be washed off. I've spilled water 3-4 times and it still leaves a little aftertaste. It's definitely not enough to put me off using them, but I'll buy bleached ones next time.

After a year with a "hard gold filter " this is a welcome change.

At some point I got fed up with reworking filters every few months and tried "hard gold filter"; It worked fine but ended up clogging my sink with coffee grounds. Going back to paper filters was the right thing to do as I no longer have clogged sinks.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

So expensive but needed for Chemex

Every time I have to buy them they get more expensive! it's just a bunch of crappy paper squares! I've started testing, doubling down on other types of filters and comparing the results because those prices have basically reached rip offs.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Would you like a paper bag of coffee?

This filter is terrible, it will ruin the taste of your coffee no matter how many times you wash the filter. I literally poured 200g of water through the filter before putting in coffee and it still tasted like cardboard. Bleached is the way to go, the coffee tastes clean and has no chemical aftertaste as it is still minimally processed.

The first cup in the morning is coffee.

It takes a little time, but not too much, to enjoy a cup of fresh, clear coffee. One of the problems was that the coffee makers used plastic, so the inside of the plastic hose and shape deteriorated over time. "Coffee from our Chemex doesn't have the rancid residue of a fresh cup. That's a big deal. It stays as fresh as the first cup after brewing. How do you like that? There is something to consider. Glad to announce. J

My Chemex filters arrived a day early and in good condition. I'm a happy customer. I have never tried any other type of filter with my Chemex bc, I am very happy with this filter. They are durable, hold all bases and do a great job of filtering. I've never had a drop of ground coffee or a trace of dregs. I also use this filter when straining homemade Greek yogurt with a strainer. I've never lost a filter. My yogurt comes out very thick, no papery taste. I always prewash my filters with hot…

The real Chemex innovation are the filters.

A filter overview is almost an overview of the Chemex in general, so let's not just focus on the filter but talk about the Chemex in general and what the filter does. Also, full disclaimer on this review, I've bought 200 filters in the past, bought 2 packs of 100 individually at different times, I've bought them when I had few but I've brewed NONE with this set of 200 the same , and I'm sure it will work the same. So you understand, I'm only looking at the last 200, not the next ones. When…
