🧽 Chemical Guys ACCS37 Easy Reach Wheel and Rim Brush for Optimal Detailing Review

Most of my car care products are made by chemists so giving this one star rating is a little painful considering I love all of their other products. I should have given that one star because the little black tip will come off at the end and you won't notice because you'll scratch the edge terribly. That day, my neighbors learned some creative lessons on how to use the F-word correctly! I think I used hot glue or CA glue to fix it.

I use this brush to clean the inside of the wheels/rims of my car. Very effective in combination with a rim cleaner. Some reviewers take issue with the fact that the brush is curved; IT'S BY SCHEDULE (visit the Chemical Guys website if you'd like). In fact, I keep mine slightly curved all the time to fit in my storage bucket. I've been using this brush all summer with great results. It holds up well and should last for years.

I don't understand why there are so many four and five star reviews. It's long - which means that if you slide it between the spokes it only goes a couple of inches before it hits the disc brakes. It's also thin, meaning you'll need some force to wipe it off if you have anything other than light dirt like brake dust. The center of the brush is a simple wire that flexes when more than light pressure is applied.

Not impressed and would NOT recommend. There are very few bristles on the brush. When dry it looks full and thick, but when wet it becomes very thin and covers very little surface. The bristles are only attached to a thin wire that does not allow any pressure as it bends very easily and the bristles themselves are very rough. To make matters worse, the plastic tip at the end of the bristles fell off almost immediately exposing a very sharp wire that could easily scratch my spinal discs, luckily

I've always used fluffy microfiber sponges to get in between the spokes and windows on my wheels. As I'm getting older and don't want to be a slave to my car, I've been looking for a shortcut. The pics and videos make this the perfect solution but as many others have pointed out it is flimsy and requires some pressure to do what is worse the bristles are very rough. Easy to use, cleans discs without scratching thanks to soft bristles. Great coverage. During use, be careful not to loosen the rubber tip. This exposes the sharp ends of twisted wires that can easily damage discs and possibly cause injury. This happened to me and is the reason for the 4 out of 5 star rating. -- Update -- Like others, the tip of the brush fell off on first use. In my original review, I suggested using a twisted plastic connector to cap the ends of the twisted wires to protect my wheels. I've used the brush several times with this modification and the connector stayed in place. I have attached some photos.
