didn't work as advertised

Maybe I'm a borderline case here. Used too much wax (Meguar ULTIMATE POLISH) and took too long to dry. My car looked crappy with dried wax stains everywhere. I left it for about 3 weeks. Bought this item, it was supposed to remove the old wax. Mixed properly, applied with an oven mitt. The old wax was never removed. After using this product, old stains from dried wax were clearly visible.

The wax was easy to remove and did a great cleaning job.

I bought this to prep my car for a full polish and wax. I have always used Dawn dish soap to remove wax in the past and it has worked well, but it took a few passes to remove the wax. TONS of thick, sticky foam. The wax rinsed off easily and cleaned the paintwork well. Good product!

Best products for the money spent on this product

While I absolutely despise Chemical Guys waxes and polishes, I love their soaps. Bugs, tar and super thick mud. I've actually had better luck removing these things with a super mild clear dish soap than with this soap. I'll just stick with their Blacklight soap, it seems to be the only decent Chemical Guys product.

  • Quality construction

Didn't work very well in cleaners

I was expecting this to remove the polish and wax from my car but it was really hard to do. It seemed to take off and then when I went to spray water there were still areas that needed more soap. After running over the same spots multiple times, he eventually removed them, but it took more effort and color contact than I expected/desired. The less you handle your car the better, but it took a little more passes than I wanted, next time I'll go elsewhere.

In some places the seal seemed to have been torn off.

The product came unsealed and leaking in the packaging. The product viscosity is much lower than expected but still foams well in the foam gun and gives plenty of foam in a 5 gallon bucket. The sealant seemed to come loose in some places on the car, and in others it didn't seem to do anything at all. Uses a citrus red color which they no longer make at a higher concentration that seemed to remove the wax/seal better but unfortunately they don't do it anymore.

  • Good product for the price

Nothing special about the car wash

I think this is a good car wash soap if you just want something without the added waxes and shine. But it sure doesn't delete anything. If you're like me you wanted to learn about detailing and got carried away with Chemical Guys marketing, bought a bunch of stuff, and then found out there were better product lines. Unfortunately I used up some of them before I could send them back. Check out Dallas Paint Correction on YouTube and his video on removing previous waxes. Also watch Apex Detail on…

Does the job Cleaner

This is a wax/seal remover. The key before using it is to flush the car first and look at the water droplets. If you don't have beads, you don't need them. Soap up your car and mix it up with the foam gun. After a few minutes of soaking in the foam, most of the pearls disappeared on rinsing. That means it works. Then mix with shampoo and hand wash the car and you will remove the wax/sealant residue. Then you can start detailing. It is best to decontaminate (remove iron particles from the clear…

Works well with old cheap wax. Not so much on high quality sealants.

When I recently bought a new car I wanted to put my brand of sealant on it. I waited a few months and used a clean sheet to remove all the old wax that the dealer had put on the car and the product worked. Just yesterday I used this product to remove a 5.5 month old Ultimate water glass from my wife's car and the Clean Slate didn't touch it. I even increased the amount of product I put in my laundry bucket by 6 times the directions and it still didn't work. While Clean Slate worked great with…
