When we lived in Germany we loved big European cushions. We love to read in bed and need something solid to keep us going. They are perfect even for my 6'1' 200 lb husband. I ordered the pillowcases one size smaller to accommodate the fullness. A tip I read somewhere was very helpful: fold the pillow in half to fit inside the pillowcase, then fluff it up.

Excellent pillows. They come vacuum packed, so you'll need to let them whip for a couple of hours. You will grow 5 times. Someone wrote that the pillows stink. I realize that this person has never bought feather or down pillows. I almost bought it because of that comment. They smell like any other feather/down pillow. Don't like the smell of feathers? Disgusting! I've washed these pillows 3 times after trying so many different things in the washing machine to get rid of the smell and they still stink! They smell like dead, rotting birds. Do not buy!

I bought 22x22 inserts for my 8x8 pillowcases and they are not as "soft" or fluffy as my other down inserts. I don't know if it's because they're thicker or too big for a blanket, but they almost feel like they have air when you lean against them, so they feel very hard. They are also very crumpled and make a lot more noise than. My other pillows. I may have to try them with larger lids to see if they can be fluffed up more.
