Uncoated Baking Pan

I don't like non-stick baking pans, so it was difficult to find uncoated pans without sides. I wanted Chicago Metallic because I have several baking pans and they are high quality and will last for years if you take care of them. Paid less than $12 per person. I absolutely LOVE these sheets. My cookies stay thick, bake evenly, and don't stick to the pan. Easy to clean by hand. Bought 2 extra. An essential item in your kitchen.

The raised logo in the corner renders this baking sheet useless

This baking sheet features a raised (i.e. uneven) "Chicago Metallic" logo in the corner - meaning any cookie in this area will be very Difficult to remove from pan as spatula does not slide smoothly under cookie. What a stupid and pretentious act by Chicago Metallic. It's obvious that the people who made this pan have never baked cookies. I returned it and will avoid other products from this company.

Not your grandma's Chicago

These pans are fine and used as baking sheets, but they're THIN! I have a small Chicago Metallic pan that I inherited from my grandmother that is half the size but weighs about 3/4 less. Microdents are already visible on these new sheets. My only disappointment is that I wanted Chicago Metallic because I assumed the name would always stand for quality. The name is no longer in use but stamped on a cheap imitation that works but doesn't last as many generations as it used to. For online…

Surfaces are easily damaged

The product appeared to be durable but it wasn't. Simply taking it in and out of the oven will leave deep scratches on the underside. I roasted beef bones for broth and they got blotchy. Even after extensive washing I could not completely remove the stains. I was using it to fry mushrooms (this time on parchment paper) and it was getting late after dinner so I piled the dishes for the morning. I put a pot on it and in the morning a hole formed where the pot had been. No amount of scraper could…

Leaves dark marks on surfaces, difficult to clean, warps

I have had two of these pans for about ten months now and regret buying them. 3 main complaints: 1. The dishes deform very easily. I've only ever stored pans stacked on top of each other with nothing else on top or bottom.2. Frying pans are difficult to clean. I've tried both the dishwasher and hand washing (difficult due to the non-stick coating) and there are still stains from grease and burnt food.3. After hand washing and drying the pans, they left black stains on my white countertops. I…

Great cookie sheets especially for spritz cookies

Ok this is my second order of these cutters. I currently have 3 and plan to have 1 more. They are durable, easy to clean and perfect for pressed cookies that need an uncoated surface to stick to. I followed the care instructions and always hand washed these sheets. Also, they take up very little space compared to other trays. 3 or 4 trays are stacked on top of each other and take up little more space than one tray. As an avid baker, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pans. I find the trick to keeping these

The best for me: Baking and biscuit trays

I'm someone who doesn't really like cooking in oil and chemical soup. Despite the supposed "low risk" of using coated cookware, I choose the old ways. Good frying pans that you can burn in yourself over time and maintain by hand, not in the dishwasher. Every Chicago Metallic *uncoated* pan I own doesn't "naturally" stick. Grease the pan with oil, put the dough or batter or whatever. To cook/bake or whatever, let cool *in the pan* for about 10 minutes, then pat the sides and bottom of the pan to

The perfect frying pan! -- FYI, "old " Frying Pan 18x13

I wanted to make this review because the Frying Pan is first and foremost THE BEST. I mean it's really good quality. It won't crease, bake evenly, and won't stick to food, especially when used with a Silpat mat or plain parchment paper. 'Friends'. It has high sides, is easy to hold, and is heavy enough to hold a full cookie shape without wobbling or twisting. If you've ever made Christmas breakfast for 16 hungry people and had to fill a baking sheet with as many cookies as possible to keep…
