Works great in backpacks and totes

Really like this product. Hiking can be difficult with a 2 year old, but this carrier makes it so much easier. Shoulder straps tend to hurt after an hour or two, but that's only a minor discomfort.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

As expected, the best in backpacks

Bought for Disney World. My almost 2 year old fits perfectly. She's not very enthusiastic about it, but everything new lately is scary. I have plus size 2-3x and all straps fit great. Too bad I didn't manage to warm her up with it sooner.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • No performance

It has safety straps to keep your child safe in the carrier.

My granddaughter is quite comfortable in it and not worried. Now we can go outside with her older sisters. I'm petite and it suits me well to wear it and have my hands free.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • unreliable

Excellent product, very happy with this purchase!

I bought it because we go hiking with my grandson a lot. Great fit and the baby has plenty of room too and unlike the other unframed ones the baby snuggles up against you and gets very hot in warm weather. Suitable for adults of all sizes. All in all a great product.

Uncomfortable and the shade doesn't cover enough

Judging by the description, this product seems promising. However the visor doesn't really cover my child and the lumbar support has a huge bar that digs into the lower back making it very uncomfortable. In the process of returning this item. Wanted to love this item but it didn't deliver and the price is too high compared to the quality.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not bad

Ideal for backpacking

We really liked this product. Hopefully we can get more use out of it. We bought this for our recent trip to Disney and it was such a treat for our 1.5 year old. When we had to queue for 75 minutes, we didn't have to carry or chase after our daughter. She felt so comfortable that she even slept in it for 2 hours. The backpack is easy to put on and take off by yourself. It lays well on the ground and is stable.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some flaws

The Only Way To Travel

Love this carrier! Bought this for my grandson just before he started walking. He LOVES being on an equal footing with the "big ones"! The design provides comfort and safety for the child. Shoulder and waist straps keep baby secure, a sun visor is a must and a padded hem keeps baby comfortable. This carrier has everything including back support for baby. The added benefit of a "stand" makes it easy for one person to put on and take off the backpack with the baby inside!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • A few little things

Best backpacks I've found

This is Grandma speaking so I have some experience. I tried the Dueter, an overly complicated machine but also more adjustable and probably more comfortable for long hikes, but we only needed something for a beach run and I like the Chico's simplicity better. I haven't tried the others but they all looked complex, like the duo. There are a few specific differences that I really like about Chico. The frame is more like an old style stretcher that has a rim for baby to chew on. This was my baby's

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

Super cumbersome (REVIEW UPDATE)

Initial review + 1 week follow-up: I categorized my review as best I could. If I think of more, I'll add more. We decided to buy another brand known for its superior comfort and ergonomics to compare. With this update I will provide my comparisons. I have chosen not to list any other brand name just to show that I am not attempting to sell or promote any particular product. (I call this backpack Chicco, and the other backpack for comparison P#2STRAPS: The shoulder and waist straps are poorly…
