I was following the Nerdforge Diagon Alley Book Nook tutorial and required single sided individually addressable LEDs. This is a good set of LEDs that are easy to cut and customize to suit your needs. They come in a waterproof case (can't confirm that claim though) which seems to be holding up pretty well and I may be using some of these for an outdoor project this summer. I received (2) of these WS2812B LED strips and when I connected the first one to the power supply with the supplied 3 wire cable I shorted the strip out to that the cable was connected the other way around at the factory. The connection to the LED strip was correct, but the power/data switch had power on the white wire and ground on the red wire.
