Battery life 3 months, total life 5 months.

Gave this to my daughter whose 2 year old sometimes switches keys. Everything was fine for the first three months, although the connection was lost so badly that the "Leave it behind" function became a problem and was quickly disabled. After 3 months he already needed a new battery. Okay, it's used a lot, so maybe not "typical", but it's very short. After 5 months, the sound is often completely inaudible, despite the application saying it's ringing, and sometimes so quiet you almost have to put

Better than Tile, but not all.

The main reason I chose Chipolo over tile is its out-of-range functionality. The out-of-range feature, if working, should send a notification once the Bluetooth connection between the Chipolo and the phone is lost. This is very useful if you forgot your item and were notified almost immediately. Tile has a similar feature, but it's in beta and part of a premium plan that costs $30 a year.
