Functional and stylish

I don't often give a product 5 stars, but the Linksys Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Router exceeded my expectations. The blue status LEDs match some of my other components and look very sleek and modern. Did I mention there is no visible antenna? It's hidden in a block. The LEDs aren't too bright which is a good thing as I watch movies on TV about 2ft from this pup. In terms of functionality, this router seems to do everything I need it to do. It could work out of the box, but I needed WEPโ€ฆ

Good mid-range router

I bought this router to replace a previous Linksys Wireless-G router that has failed. While this new router looks sleek, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about its performance. The device definitely looks like it went the cheap Netgear build path, and I was worried it would last as long as the router I was replacing (everything seems disposable these days). Luckily, my skepticism is wrong. This router was a fantastic replacement, but I regret not replacing my old router sooner. I wasโ€ฆ

Great for VoIP, media streaming, wireless devices, Macs and PCs, but has some issues

This futuristic-looking router offers N-Speed connectivity in a sleek chassis with an antenna and four Ethernet ports. If you have a basic network you probably won't have any problems, but be patient if you want to connect less common devices like a network bridge. The included LELA Wizard CD makes installation and connecting to the Internet a breeze once you know what type of security (WPA, 64-bit, or 128-bit WEP) you need. All our computers - Mac and PC - are connected to each otherโ€ฆ

Below average router and customer service. Do not buy

As of last November I have version 2 of this router which replaces its predecessor, the Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B Cable/DSL Router. It works, but the performance was way below average and I really don't see any performance gain from this upgrade to N, especially for my wireless N equipped machines. The router has to be restarted constantly because the Internet access is intermittently (slowly) interrupted. The restart immediately returns to the normal speed of Internet access. The BEFW11S4โ€ฆ

Good product, one power supply/startup issue

While I was in the process of writing a glowing review, I recently noticed a power and startup issue with this router. This startup problem has been noticed by other users who seem to think they have a defective product and are posting their impressions online. We hope this review helps as there is an easy fix. If the power adapter is cold (unplugged from the outlet for several hours) and STILL connected to the router, the Cisco Linksys WRT160N will have trouble starting up with the DC powerโ€ฆ
