Great WiFi router, great price

I bought this router in July 2009 and it has worked ever since. I use g and n networks and the performance is amazing. My netbook connects reliably at 130Mbps, 2.4GHz while my laptop connects at 150Mbps, 5GHz. The internet radio works well with 802.11g. All use WPA2. Connections are very stable, without any interruptions. The range is reasonable, the connection is available on three floors of my house and the router is on the top floor. I have basic requirements for my wireless router: no port…

Easy setup and good range

Disclaimer: I'm new to setting up a wireless network for my computer. I bought a WRT400N router and a Linksys WMP600N wireless adapter. I am currently using XP on a computer that is over 7 years old. Setting up and installing the router was very easy. The instructions couldn't be simpler as they include diagrams of what and where to connect the wires. Basically, download the CD and follow the instructions. After my router was set up, I checked the wired and wireless connections on my PS3, which

Simultaneous signal is important

I bought a WRT400N to replace a cheaper Belkin router that was failing. I did a lot of research on Revain.com and CNET.com. I use my wireless network for my laptop, my Sony Blu-ray player (Netflix and Revain.com streaming on demand), my Kindle, my DroidX and my Wii. Pretty basic setup for now, but I'd love to be able to print wirelessly if I have the budget to replace my current printer and I have guests who bring Wi-Fi devices into my house from time to time. Judging by its price, it received…

I love this device. Easy to set up and use.

There were many conflicting opinions about this. It seems either beautiful or the cause of the collapse of civilization. For me, this falls into the "biggest event since sliced bread" category. We've had internet access through our cable company for many years, and we got to a point where our indoor internet speeds were much faster than our old wireless 802.11b system could handle. We all just avoided watching videos because they were slow and choppy, but I finally decided to upgrade to take…

The second time was a charm!

After reading professional HOURS reviews, I bought the WRT400N with high expectations. My PC has a modem, wired PC router downstairs, and I need WiFi for a printer, three laptops, and Blue Ray. So my tech-savvy son tried to install and had to call tech support. Everything is ready. First of all, the first port in the router was useless. The pins were missing, so I couldn't put a USB in that port. THAT should be our first clue! But everything was fine. The Blue Ray streaming was great. My DH…

The equipment works well; Avoid the Setup Wizard

After much research (and an unsuccessful attempt a year earlier to install a third-party N router that didn't recognize existing adapters), I settled on the Linksys WRT400N 802.11. n to replace the outdated but working Microsoft MN-500 802.11b router. I was impressed with the simultaneous dual-band radios (each with its own SSID, making it effectively two routers in one, one at 5GHz for 802.11a). /n and one at 2.4 GHz for 802.11b/g/n) and Cisco's and Linksys' generally good reputation for…
