From a flat door handle

In my guest room I put a Murphy bed and the doorknob prevented the bed from moving. I replaced a normal pen with it and it works. Since this isn't for its intended use, I can't pound it too hard. But if you do something like this, get ready to drill a hole in the door where the latch will go another 2 inches.

Permanent replacement

For some reason I keep buying the same lock for my bathroom door. I like the look, the price, the product does not seem bad, there were not many similar options ... but I have already changed it 3 times because after 8-10 months the mechanism stops working. However, for those 8-10 months, it's smooth and easy. Easy to install and cheap so I guess I get what I pay for.

Small but works well.

I needed a two way lock for a pocket door at the bottom of the stairs. It fitted easily into the existing original lock hole and locks the door. Only four stars because it's small and it's a bit difficult to get the recessed latch to turn. There would be room to make this latch larger and not get in the way of the door. I also wish it had a latch on either side. There is no latch on the back, but I can lock it by twisting it a quarter turn. Overall it works well and looks good.

Didn't read instructions - useless

Instructions say to make a 2 3/4 or 2 3/8 hole and has both templates. It wasn't until I cut a hole and looked at the lock that I discovered that it wasn't adjustable between the two sizes. The packaging clearly states that this is for a 2 3/8 hole only. I've never seen a set of locks come in just one size, so I didn't even think to look at the box because both are listed in the instructions. In short, now another castle is needed as the direction was not clear. Check the box if you are…

Excellent Sliding Door Latch

We bought two of these locks to replace two other sliding door locks that were both broken. The design seems sturdier and I hope they don't let you down. Installation requires a precise touch as alignment is critical. However, once installed, the lock works like a clock. A nice feature is that the grab bar stays extended until the door is unlocked. It seems like a trivial feature, but it shows that the designers did a good job. A definite choice. 11/27/2017. Still works. Big. Be sure to buy on…

  • Poor impression

pocket door locks. The originals supplied by the manufacturer were Kwikset trademarks and worked well for the most part. The one in my first floor washroom gets the most traffic (both guests and family) and the Kwikset brand locking latch set has a pull that can be pulled out quite a bit when used as a pull and then when the door is closed when the door is off-centered, it presses on the locking mechanism and bends the rail inward. The Citiloc brand has a retractable latch that pops out just a…
