Great American Drill Bits

I've been using them for about a month now. They are sharp. and hold a sharp edge well .The price for a set of American bits was good. The case is good too.

Pros
  • Set of 29 drill bits from 1/16" to 1/2" in 1/64" pitch
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Good beats, poor case.

The box these bits came in was damaged and would not close. The manufacturer has replaced it, but it still appears to be metal and costs about $0.10. The bits are ok but the body isn't great.

Pros
  • High Speed Steel (HSS) provides hardness for wear resistance
Cons
  • Not sure

It's the bits that count, not the cheap metal case!

I have had this drill for about 5 years now. than any I had. I drilled through 1/2 steel last week and a set of bits much newer, from the national bolt supply store, didn't make it. I broke my old CLE set and ripped it through.

Pros
  • 118 degree regular tip for various drilling jobs
Cons
  • Expensive
