My 82 year old mother uses a magnifying glass for reading and I gave her this magnifying glass for her birthday. She liked it very much. Green stones and gold metal look great together. It was a little smaller than I wanted but the measurements are in the product description and she used it to read the restaurant menu as soon as I gave it to her so I think the size is right for her! I definitely recommend it.

Looks decorative when left in the main room. This is useful for very small writing and detail on a monitor, on instructions and labels, or anywhere you want a closer look. The glass is transparent, without bubbles and clouds. Still requires the right angle and proximity for good magnification. Not the wide, sharp face of the big, square, ugly Bausch and Lomb dictionary that was part of my dictionary decades ago. But just right for the occasional use we chose it for.
