The photo shows the inside of the organizer in the same color as the outside, but when assembled the inside of the lid is unfinished as stated in another review, and the pre-drilled holes at the end of the plate are either not straight or the material is very thin because the screws want to penetrate at an angle and shavings will knock out on the raw side. I knew this product would be made from chipboard but expected it to work well in a light cabinet. Unfortunately the screws provided were too big for the width of the shelves and I was unable to complete the assembly for fear of damaging the product. ALL GOOD: This is a basic Ikea bookcase. It's mid-height and narrow, so it works well next to a table (same standard height) with little space between the table and the wall. My child likes it very much. BUT the plastic pieces that fit into the pre-drilled holes to hold the two shelves are rubbish. I mean really terrible! Garbage. Made of terrible wood. And what makes no sense to me at all what they are hiding in the photos is that there is no top and bottom shelf, just four pieces of wood that you screw together. And each shelf has a white side and an unpainted side. So if you put the unpainted side on the bottom shelf, it's ok because the device is on that shelf. 3 drawer furniture made from medium quality and good quality laminated chipboard. It's pretty easy to assemble (you'll need a screwdriver). Sure, it's not high-end heirloom furniture, but it does the job. My only complaint is that the top and bottom screws aren't countersunk so they stick out. I was finally able to put these black shelves together (I ordered an espresso). They work. They were cheap. I don't know what I expected but I didn't get it. The instructions told me to use letter boards which I didn't have. Both instructions said to use boards with the letter "c" at the top and bottom.
