Oh how I wish I could give this product more than 5 stars! I snap my hook and this tool makes following my pattern so much easier and faster! I haven't used this for the pattern yet, but I opened it up and placed it on the chart to get a feel for it. The shorter marker is as wide as a regular sheet of paper, so it helps with cross-stitching. The longer marker is the same height as the piece of paper, so it helps with vertical stitching. Viewports in the center of the markers allow you to see two lines of squares on the pattern map at once. The manufacturers are a bit flimsy and you have to align the magnets to ensure your viewing…

This review is only about the longest strap so I bought it. My charts are typically 8" x 10" or larger, so I haven't used a shorter guide yet. I was hoping that this would be a good option for recording and counting rows in knitting and embroidery / counting crosses, needles etc. but they aren't easy or I have to stop at the end of each row to remove the magnetic strip and to move it to the next row by first placing the back of the magnetic stripe up and then aligning the top so that it closes…
