Simple Drop Stitch Protector

I have found them useful when using DPN on very small needles. Kind of like training wheels for knitting for nerds like me, but they kept the stitches from falling off while I was learning how to knit socks on short and tiny DPNs. Also makes it easier to find an empty needle when I put my knitting aside. I have also used them with circular needles when transporting lace items. They stop and do exactly what they are supposed to do. Cool little helpers for knitting.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Wrap

not for how I wanted to use them.

I bought these to use with double knitting needles which I use as single ended needles for small items like clothes rags. But they keep falling. In the end I stopped using them and just wrapped rubber bands around the ends of the pins. The rubber bands aren't pretty, but at least they hold in place. Used to hold stitches on regular needles when not working, if they just lay there and don't rub against anything they'll probably work fine. But not for my purpose. Too bad.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Redemption for the carpenter! scratch protection!

I hope I'm not invading the world of crafts with a carpentry review. I bought these Clover Point Protectors to attach to the sharp ends of a set of awls (a tool used to mark a spot on a piece of wood before drilling holes) that hang from a pegboard in my wood shop. I kept picking up the awl without paying attention, only to stick the sharp end of the awl in my finger and then say a few choice words. I searched the Revain website and settled on her. Nice choice. Delivered promptly, the Clover…
