Durable and works great!

I use this to start holes when setting rivets in a particularly difficult spot, and also when I have to go through several thick layers. It works great and is very durable.

Love this tool for those hard to reach places!

There are a few tight places where your fingers can't get through while sewing. This helps secure the fabric under the machine foot so I can sew evenly. I'm glad I found this remedy. The tool fits comfortably in the hand and is ergonomic. This tool works great!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No paint required

Excellent quality. - Tailor's Awl

Got this for leathercrafting. My other cheap Chinese ones had a coating on the awl that started to chip when punching holes. This awl is very sharp and seems to be very durable so far. I use it all the time and haven't had any problems. The general appearance is excellent.

Great tool for cutting buttonholes

Great tool for cutting buttonholes. It feels good in the hand and fits perfectly in my sewing box. No more ripping my fabric trying to use a seam ripper. I gently poke the tip of the scissors into the hole in the awl to gently pry open the buttonholes.

Pros
  • Tailor's Awl
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Small 4 Β½ " - Tailor's Awl

The description says 7 Β½" long but that is the PACKAGING it comes in. The actual length of the product is only 4Β½ inches (115mm). An unforgivably misleading copy of the action as it is a beautiful, albeit small, magnifying awl. The handle is flattened at the front and back to minimize roll. Obviously intended for more delicate work but the point is very sharp and easily pierces even full through thick skin Metal part 2 9/16" (54mm) long and extends from the needle point to 3/8" (9.9mm ) at the…
