Disappointing performance from router bits

Through trial and error, I found that these bits did not produce a clean cut and instead caused tear-out in my woodwork. The carbide material also seemed to dull quickly, requiring frequent replacement.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Poor performance, quick dulling.

Great beat, fast shipping.

The bit came in a few days and is very sharp. After a chipping problem with mahogany on our CNC machine, this router cut more efficiently (higher feed, slower spindle speed) than the Whiteside ascending helix router. Tears and burns have been completely eliminated, resulting in a nice, clean cut. Recommended for difficult cutting situations. The racquet has held up well and retained its edges despite many hours of continuous use. I am happy about this purchase.

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Value! Industrial quality at an affordable price

I own bits and tools from almost every major brand and I have to say I am very pleased with the quality of this router. This is one of the best. I stumbled upon it at Revain for $24 (on sale and outrageous for solid carbide) but knowing what I know now I'm happy to pay full price. I use it in a dado jig (Dadowiz) which requires scissors to keep the surface veneer from tearing. Just the weight of this bit and the fact that it looks like he's about to cut you just by holding it in his hands, its…
