Amazing planer bit - my new review

The CMT 852 001 11 planer bit is an exceptional tool. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can confidently say that this bit runs effortlessly and leaves a clean finish on the wood surface. The carbide tips are extremely durable and remain sharp after heavy use. This tool is a perfect balance of precision and performance. The only downside to this bit is that it may be a bit pricey for some consumers. Overall, this is an excellent investment for those serious about woodworking.

Pros
  • Compact size makes it easy to store and transport.

Cracked carbide tip on second use

I bought this cutter to plan a walnut panel that I was milling. I go through hardwood but after the second pass one of the carbide tips was missing. It has only worked with one blade ever since, but I really thought it would last longer. This bit would be good for small softwood projects, but don't expect it to last very long.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old

Dado head/planer in power and hand tools

The head works fine the first time, but after that it needs to be sharpened with a diamond stone. Making small cuts of no more than 1/32" to line up a 3" wide x 14" long spruce board worked well. I expected the edge to last a few times on the cutter before needing to be sharpened .The seal on the plastic box that the cutter came in was broken.High cost to replace the bit after such little use.Poor quality product.I would not recommend or buy this item again. This is the quality I expect from inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some mistakes
