    Excellent value for power and hand tools

    Very sharp drill bit and very clean cuts in plywood. When properly installed, this cutter will cut well and leave a sharp surface with no splinters. I've found that pushing this bit too fast can result in an uneven surface caused by sawdust buildup. The lower feed speed solved this problem and allowed the sawdust to be removed from the cutting channel.

    Not As Shown: Power Tools & Hand Tools

    Actual stock will vary significantly from that shown in the description. Of course I understand that in the picture the descriptions of the bits have a different diameter. What I don't like about the actual bit I received is that the bearing is very short (a small height of bearing in contact with the MDF template will result in an indentation in the template) and the bearing is relatively far from the Removed underside of cutter (gives a shallower depth of cut option during the first pass)…

    Run Loud, Run Small

    I bought this drill bit to cut the first inch or so of several 11.25" x 3.25" slots in the face of a 6x6 lumber using a simple template, a huge base plate to cut. Constructed from .500" thick 12" x 24" clear polycarbonate sheet and MLCS 9464 collet extension, 1/2" shank, accepts 1/2" shank bits. Full depth was achieved by switching to a Frued 50 -118 flush with upper bearing, 3/4" diameter, 1-3/4" carbide cutting length, 1/2" shank reached. Note that "Frued" was supposed to be "Freud" but…
