They are almost useless as a measuring tool

Can't see the measurement markings from the inside of the mug. The inner filling level is not visible from the outside of the cup. As a measuring device, they are practically useless. However, you can use a needle to "transfer" the measurement to the inside of the cup, where it will be useful and accurate. Get clear cups if you need accurate measurements.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Maybe not the best idea for mixing 2k epoxy

I bought these for mixing 2k epoxy but didn't find them opaque. They are well made and have nice clear easy to read markings but might not be the best idea for a clear two part epoxy as they are translucent but not clear. Because of the way I measure resin parts, I find it difficult to see the marker line when looking from inside the cup or the resin when looking from outside the cup. However, you may be ok if you measure resin components by weight and don't have to rely on what you can see…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great mugs. Why are others having problems?

For those of you who leave negative reviews because you can't see through these mugs or because the dimensions inside the mug are difficult to see, have you seen a picture of these mugs? Did you read the description? Here it says; Opaque cups with graduations on the outside. The graduated markings are approximate and the markings are on the outside. Accurate measurement is more difficult than with translucent cups. Here is the definition of opaque - NOT transparent; Not transparent! These mugs…

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
