You must fully insert the cable into the fitting

It took me several attempts where I did everything perfectly but the fitting slipped. It turns out that if you think the cable is fully stuck in the fitting, it most likely isn't. It needs to be pushed, twisted and pushed some more until the insulation is visible through the joint, fitting snugly or almost snugly against the hole behind the copper wire. And the copper wire will be where it should be, even with the right end or a little beyond. Then the compression works, do not tighten.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • vulgarity

Very good quality crimping and stripping tools and connectors

Heavy gauge steel crimping tool with swivel adapter for a really big cable and good adjustment knob. The fittings even have an O-ring, indicating the presence of water. Resistance. If you are using a heavier gauge coaxial cable, apply some soap to the outer jacket before attempting to plug it in. MAKE SURE the adjustment screw (photo) attached to the internal threads of the piston is present! Mine fell off in transit and I found it purely by accident. You can't compress anything without them.

Pros
  • good deal
Cons
  • very expensive

What did I expect for this little money?

The only reason I won't quote the price is to make sure this review gets published. All in all it wasn't worth it. NO directions. The ones on the website are useless. I used probably 10 fittings out of 20 only for one of them to stick and even then it had a very poor connection. The wire stripper works great and the Phillips screwdriver seems to be of decent quality. I don't know if it's crimp junk or plugs. I live in a very remote area and it took a long time to receive and I don't want to…

Works well, connections not great and no direction = disappointment

Product works. After a few hours of experimenting, stripping numerous coaxial cables and breaking off connectors. There are no instructions in the pack. Videos of similar products on YouTube help partially but not fully. It's easy to accidentally strip the sheathing from under the rubber, so use caution as standard wire strippers and wire cutters will come in handy. Also, make sure to CLAMP the connectors COMPLETELY. If black plastic is visible in the center then it is not fully crimped and…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

So far I have successfully mounted 2 plugs for the coaxial cable. Since there were no instructions, I also messed up the connector before setting up the tool through trial and error. I had some cable making experience but this was my first time using compression connectors. I hope that only minor adjustments will be necessary in the future. The cable prep tool (which cuts the cable jacket) was easy to use and worked as expected. The zippered pouch that holds the tools and cords is handy as it…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • boring packaging

Reliable, fast, perfect connections. It worked great, no experience.

Start with the Revain video in the description. Then go to YouTube and watch someone making coax connections to see what happens. Then rotate/rotate the end of the compression tool 180 degrees to format it for your adjustments. The only thing I didn't learn from the Revain video that I needed (never before) was how deep to insert the stripped wire into the connector. The answer is that you push down on the connector until the inner insulated portion is flush on the inside and the exposed copper
