The pour on previous versions was perfect and flowed freely. Even if you remove the straw from this one, you still get a very limited amount when you drink from it. If COLEMAN returned to a very successful design I would buy more like in the past for myself and as gifts for others. I bought one of these water bottles yesterday and am disappointed with the colour. It seems like a small thing, but uncomfortable nonetheless. Photos of all Coleman water bottles are misleading. All listings suggest a color called Seafoam. In all photos, this color looks suspiciously similar to the green offered on Stanley products. I love this water bottle. I didn't care about the straw. I had a hard time scooping water out of the bottle so I removed the straw! I like it so much more. I have to tip the bottle, which suits me. Now I get a lot more water in less time. I really love cold water and this fits right in. I put some ice cubes in a bottle of cold tap water to really chill the stainless steel inside the bottle. I love these bottles and caps. I have green and red. They fit in my bike holder, cup holder in the car and I can drink from them with one hand at the push of a button. You don't have to deal with the need for a second hand to unscrew or unroll something. I dropped my old Coleman on the kitchen tile and the insulation got damaged, a bummer. Bought new and wanted to share some comparison photos. The aluminum cylinder looks the same, so I gave it a 3 (IMHO, the insulation shouldn't be broken by a 4ft drop onto the kitchen floor). first of all i bought 4 of these bottles and i really like them. They're durable and the water always stays cold, albeit not out in black that long for obvious reasons. I have three regular spouts which I prefer and one with a straw spout which is comfortable when driving. As many people have mentioned, the straw has issues and seems to suck in air and is difficult to get out. Some resort to cutting the straw at an angle.
