Collapsible Silicone Container Microwave Dishwasher Storage & Organization Review

The rims that the lids are placed on are plastic, like the lids themselves, so it is NOT safe to heat it in the microwave or wash in the dishwasher. Consumer Reports wrote an entire article on why plastic should never be used in these places.

These containers are strong, the lids close securely, dishwasher safe, I've had no problems with food stains like tomato sauce, I've used them in the freezer and in the microwave (don't try the lid though in the microwave) and the biggest feature for me is how much space they save when folded. I ended up ordering a second set and got rid of almost all of the other food storage containers.

Purchased for home and RV use to store groceries and save space as Tupperware cookware can take up a lot of space as you know. They're durable, dishwasher safe, and airtight (as they won't leak from the inside with slight condensation). I haven't tried soup or lots of liquid, although I don't think I would trust that. But I usually use it at home/RV where it stands upright. Easy to wash or put in the dishwasher. I've noticed that red pasta sauce stains, so it's best not to keep anything in it…

My low rating is for used transparent plastic lids. One arrived cracked and the second lid was so deformed after the first use of the broccoli in the microwave that it wouldn't close. The vent jets work, but they need to be redesigned to rise higher and release more vapor. Container floors are perhaps the best on the market. High quality silicone with a unique, almost metallic hard top rim makes them durable, especially when hot. Too bad the quality is so bad.

I like these containers. The folding function makes it easy to store. However, there are a few questions. The vent plug doesn't allow steam to escape very well and the bowl will crack when the food is cooking. I just remove the bleed screw completely. Another issue is that the lid warps when it comes out of the microwave and I'm wondering if it's airtight. Although it looks like a smaller lunch box for a regular container, it offers enough flexibility for an entree. The perfect size for breakfast too - it fits scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, whatever, just like a charm. It's great! Not only will you save closet space, but the lids snap into place when flat, so you don't have to fumble and dig around to find the lid.
