I'm not an expert on cedar so I can't judge the contents by the smell but it smells nice and not unpleasant , I hope you keep the bugs at bay, the only problem is that I inevitably inhale when spraying, after that my mouth was poisoned with numbness and a bitter taste in my throat for hours, I don't know how it is toxic to inhale this substance, so don't be me, wear a mask.

I used a lot of this product on the cedar walls of my closet and could only smell it for half a day. I repeated this many times hoping that more satiety would help - but it didn't. When the bottles settle I see a very small amount of cedarwood oil on top of the spray bottle and I always shake it before use but the mix just lacks the good. Very bad product and I want to return it before the "refund period" is over.

I find that Colton's Cedar Spray smells the best - most reminiscent of cedar - and not overpowering or fake. That's the real deal. I've used it in my toilets for years to repel moths and insects and it has done its job well. I use cedar blocks and when they lose their smell I lightly sand them and spray them with this product.
