Great shorts for active kids: Columbia Kids & Baby Silver Ridge IV Short, British Tan, Medium (4/5)

My kids love these shorts! They are ideal for hiking, running and playing outdoors. The fabric is durable and stands up well to wear and tear. The quick dry function is ideal for summer activities when children are constantly getting wet. The adjustable waistband offers a comfortable fit and room for growth. The only downside is that the dimensions may vary slightly. We ordered the medium for my 7 year old son and they were a bit big but after I adjusted the waistband they fit perfectly. All in

Must-have for on the go: Silv R IV Featurette

These shorts are perfect for adventurous kids who don't like uncomfortable clothes. Sweat-wicking fabric kept my little ones dry during particularly intense tag games, and an adjustable waistband kept them snug. The pockets were deep enough to hide any treasures they found along the way. The only problem? The size is a bit small, so be sure to order one size larger. All in all, the Silv R IV Short is a solid choice for any outdoor activity.

No internal adjustable waist!

The shorts are too big in the waist and my 8 year old daughter is of normal weight and height. This isn't usually a problem as there is an internal adjustable waist, but for some reason these shorts don't have it. So go back. Why did they remove this feature? As in the past, the silver-trimmed shorts featured an adjustable waist. In fact, it has become the industry standard for burst babies, booster seats, etc.
