🧥 Columbia Steens Fleece Hoodie in Spruce: Boys' Jackets & Coats Review

I kept this jacket because my son lost it at school but it looks cheap compared to the Columbia products I've previously bought from local stores.

My son really likes this jacket and I tried to steal it. It is very soft, soft, very light and still retains warmth. It is ideal to throw it in a backpack when not wearing it so that it does not get lost. But honestly, he wears it all the time!

This fleece is very soft, but having bought other Columbia fleeces in the past (including from Walmart) this one is disappointing. It felt very cheap and flimsy, almost like fluffy felt! Hold it up to a sunny window and you'll see light through the fabric, so it's clear the wind will cut through it too. Disappointing because it fits well!

Bought this for my son who is 8 and bought a medium size, we live in Florida and he needed something light but warm with a hood and it was actually perfect

By height my son is 10 years old but he only weighs 70 pounds! Needless to say I was nervous about being too small as it doesn't last more than a minute. But the environment is perfect. He is 8 to 10 years old. Very pretty and arrived quickly!

I bought it for my son for Christmas. He usually wears 10/12 medium. This jacket felt a bit fitted and smaller than I expected. Doesn't leave much room for layers.

I order one from Walmart and another from their website (same style just different sizes). The one on the real page seems thicker and better quality. A bit disappointed but my son doesn't care. This polar fleece had white faux fur around the collar, which I wasn't expecting. There is no white fur in the photo, which I think is more suitable for a girl. Sent as a gift and I didn't understand the error.

Bought for my almost 3 year old grandson. (He's tall for his age) The jacket is soft and warm and perfect for not being too bulky for a car seat!

My 6 year old often can't zip up and he has been zipping his jackets for 3 years. The fleece is also not as soft as most Columbia fleeces. Not sure if they made a cheap line of coats or what but it's not worth the money.

I ordered this jacket for my 12 year old son. Reference: height 5 feet 8 inches, weight 115 pounds. and the children's XL fits him perfectly. In my experience Columbia runs a bit larger than other brands, which was fine in this case as my son has outgrown almost every other brand in kid sizes but the men's sizes are too big for him. He wore it on a cold autumn morning and will be able to wear it under his heavy down coat when the winter temperatures really drop. We also like that it has a hood.

This is not a jacket but a thin fleece sweatshirt. It's very soft, the cut is more athletic so I would take a size up than you would expect your child to if they need some space. (Especially to wear under a long sleeve or semi-wobbly shirt.) It's the perfect fit and thickness to wear UNDER an all-weather jacket to add some warmth to the other jacket.
