Compac 13200 Citrus Peeler Review

I was expecting a different knife and it looked exactly like the photo --- unfortunately it wasn't the same. It doesn't work very well --- very disappointing.

I really like this cleaner. I find it faster than other types of scrubs I've tried. You use a small side blade to make a cut around the perimeter of the fruit, then stick part of the "stick" under the peel and peel off the peel! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is that after a while the tip of the wand wears out and it stops working.

For the price this is a handy tool. Works fast, cutting through the orange peel and quickly penetrating the inside of the orange. However, the cutting pin seems to become blunt too quickly. On the other hand, most people don't peel 25 oranges a day like I do with my class.

There are other knives that work better. Especially the part that should make the first cuts on the skin. It uses a very small plastic blade that sits in the center of the side of the instrument, making it difficult to "sweep" or manipulate the fetus' circumference. Those that have an elliptical blade work best. at the end of the tool, and all you have to do is make a first cut to get it under the peel, and then just pull it around the fruit.
