It gets the job done for parts

My 2020 Ram 2500 fits tight, just put it on for the weekend. Installation is a bit more complicated than you might think, 20 minutes maybe.

A little untrue

It just fits, but it doesn't fit a bit because it falls off the ball. The quality of the metal and the part itself was good but the fit was disappointing.

Broke on first try

The pictures in the instructions are hard to see but if you use common sense you will understand how these pieces fit together. On the first try, the hydraulic lever broke right where it connected to the bolt, rendering the thing unusable. I would NOT recommend this item and I have returned it for a full refund.

Tailgate Helper Ram

Great product that makes using the tailgate much easier for me and my family. This is the correct tailgate helper for the Ram 1500. I bought another helper but it didn't fit, I didn't have a top spacer on the tailgate pillar. After installing this hardware I had no more problems with the A++++++ product.

Actual luggage rack is not very good

Works well but the sound of the luggage rack when the tailgate is lowered shows it is not of very good quality. Instead of that normal steady gas noise, I hear a lot of air bubbles, and while it does slow down the tailgate, the difference in down speed is minimal. Spend a little more and get better quality. I expect this rack will fail within 2-4 months.

Incomprehensible instructions. No response to requests for clarification

Still working. The minimalist instructions do not explain how to attach the hydraulic cylinder to the ball joints. Attaching the first end of the cylinder is fairly easy. Attaching the second end was almost impossible. In the end it was done, but the clip on the end of the cylinder it attaches to was damaged. A request for assistance has been sent to the contact point provided with the delivered goods. I received no answer, no help, no confirmation. It works for now, but without a replacement…
