Need a cover to protect the remote control, because it often falls and explodes on the ground. I wasn't expecting much for $5 and wasn't wrong. The case does not fit widthwise and is too narrow in length, resulting in the case constantly activating and holding the power button, causing the TV to turn off and on. The item I received was brand new and unused but after installing it on the remote control there was an annoying small crack on the front of the case. The packaging did not appear to be damaged or punctured in any way, so it may have come from the factory that way. It doesn't affect functionality, but this small crack may lead to more case cracks in the future, so I've decided to return it. Pros: The cover looks very nice, fits the remote as advertised* and closes our previous remote after repeated drops. It seems to work just enough to keep it from slipping out of hands just as easily, although I don't expect it to offer a ton of protection when it does.
